Case 9: Yoko-san (40s / Owner of remedy cafe "Hibi", herbalist)
While raising three children, Yoko-san opened remedy cafe "Hibi" in Waseda Tsurumaki-cho, Tokyo, in November 2025.
She was originally active as a beauty advisor for a skincare brand, but after giving birth, she left her job to focus on childcare.
Despite a 20-year hiatus, Yoko-san challenged herself to her long-cherished dream of running a cafe, and it is said that the strong desire that supported her was the "confidence brought by beauty."

——Your skin is always so radiant! What made you decide to try "Beauty Charge -Femcare-"?
When I met Ms. Seo, her skin was beautiful despite having recently given birth. She was also raising young children while launching a wellness brand and actively working, so I thought, "I definitely want to try it!"
——Did you notice any differences or changes after actually using it?
When I looked in the mirror in the morning, I was surprised to see that my skin had a "glow and even texture!" Then my husband, who had just woken up, asked me, "Did you do something?" My skin became so radiant that even a man could notice it!
Friends also started asking me more often, "Why is your skin so radiant?", so I've continued using it.
——It's amazing that your husband, who is always with you, noticed such a difference!
The day after I used it, my son even said, "Oh? You look good today?"
It makes me even happier when my son says it than when my husband says it (laughs).
Being complimented on your skin really boosts your confidence, doesn't it? It makes you feel like you want to go out a little.
——It's wonderful that your son notices too. This time, I wanted to talk to you, Ms. Yoko, because raising three children and re-entering society requires a lot of energy, but you still took the plunge and decided to "start a cafe." Was there a reason for that?
I think the "emotional" aspect played a large role.
Meeting various people, including Ms. Seo, inspired me, and I started receiving more compliments like "Your skin is beautiful," which gave me confidence in connecting with society...
In recent years, I've also reached an age where I've started feeling minor ailments, thinking, "Is this menopause?" So, taking time to focus on myself might have been beneficial.
My mother used to take loquat extract at the first sign of a cold and regularly incorporated diet into her daily routine to maintain her health. I suddenly remembered that and re-examined food. Then, I naturally started listening to the signals from my body and mind.
I originally had a dream of owning my own shop, but deepening my knowledge of food and aromas in that way became the catalyst for opening remedy cafe "Hibi," which is based on the concept of "food and medicine sharing the same origin."
——The herbal tea you blended as a gift for "KNOWYOUR" subscription members was also very delicious and very popular.
At "Hibi," we also sell personalized blends tailored to mood and physical condition, but I thought that many "KNOWYOUR" users are active individuals. So, I selected and blended herbs that would create a sense of security while sharpening physical sensations.
Watching the herbs slowly unfurl in hot water, both the body and mind gradually relax.
