Event Report: Kamakura AYAME POPUP & OHANA HEALING INSTITUTE WS
Having celebrated its first anniversary, KNOW YOUR ORIGIN, which aims to increase opportunities to meet everyone in person, held a POPUP event in July. We also participated in a WORKSHOP for the first time.
Here's a report on two events where we truly felt the high level of awareness everyone has for their mind and body!
July 13-14, 2024
Kamakura AYAME POPUP SHOP
The first two-day POPUP was held at AYAME, a head spa salon in Kamakura. This reservation-only salon, opened this year by the popular hair salon KAFKA, also features a bulk shop with body-friendly ingredients and a gallery.
Seo, our representative, was recommended AYAME's head spa by Takako Hirashima, a KNOW YOUR ORIGIN official ambassador, model, and fermentation advisor, and after experiencing its effects, she was captivated by the wonderful space. She quickly hit it off with Ms. Sakiko Suzuki of AYAME, and a POPUP was hastily arranged.
Wanting to make the most of the tranquil space for the POPUP, we also held a "Bento-inclusive Discussion Group." While enjoying nutritious bento boxes from Early Bird Coffee, which offers vegan and gluten-free dishes primarily in Kamakura, we discussed food and the body with the participants, Saya and Yuki.
What surprised the KNOW YOUR ORIGIN members was the high level of awareness about food and the body.
Yuki incorporates a flexible vegan diet, and Saya enjoys finding delicious and healthy foods.
Both practice a mindful lifestyle, constantly communicating with their bodies and consuming what they feel is necessary. Yet, they also mentioned, "When dining out with friends, we eat what we want without worrying about it," highlighting their excellent sense of balance. This hour made us reflect anew on the connection between diet and physical and mental well-being.
At the POPUP SHOP, we specially prepared samples of Beauty Charge -Femcare- for people to experience the texture firsthand. One customer who tried it on the first day came back on the second day to purchase Beauty Charge -Femcare-, saying, "My skin was smooth when I woke up!"
Many people stopped by, including those already interested in vaginal serums and those curious about human stem cell culture fluid, the key ingredient in KNOW YOUR ORIGIN products. This made us realize that everyone has unspoken physical concerns.
As it was a long weekend, the POPUP had a relaxed atmosphere, which allowed us to spend quality time with each customer, making it a fulfilling two days.

OHANA HEALING INSTITUTE Tokyo WORKSHOP
Seo was invited to speak about the importance of femcare and Beauty Charge -Femcare- at a Tokyo WORKSHOP hosted by Tomo, the founder of OHANA HEALING INSTITUTE in Kailua, Hawaii, with whom we often collaborate on live sessions.
The WORKSHOP was divided into three parts: fragrance, food, and femcare, allowing participants to experience the energy (in Hawaiian, "Mana") of OHANA HEALING.
Although Tomo participated online from Hawaii due to illness, the fragrance workshop offered a glimpse into the HAWAII BOTANICAL FRAGRANCE COURSE available at OHANA HEALING INSTITUTE. Participants blended OHANA HEALING's original natural essential oils made from plants grown in Hawaii, guided by their own feelings.
For the food workshop, Yuka, a food stylist with 22 years of experience, demonstrated how to make "Hibiscus Amazake" and "Energy Cubes," both Hawaiian herb-infused recipes. Energy Cubes, a guilt-free snack made from finely crushed dried fruits and nuts, are also sold in organic supermarkets in Hawaii. The three varieties provided were all so delicious, it was hard to stop eating them.
Finally, OHANA HEALING presented MAHINA YONI STEAM, a new offering. This natural therapy, an ancient self-care practice for women, cares for the uterus and vagina using OHANA HEALING's Hawaiian herbs. Unlike traditional mugwort steaming, it involves floating Hawaiian herbs, blended for specific benefits, in warm water. The gentle steam warms the body while Hawaiian herbal tea nourishes from within, awakening self-love and femininity. This self-care practice aligns with KNOW YOUR ORIGIN's concept of approaching well-being from the delicate zone.
During a special time slot, Seo shared knowledge about femcare for a comfortable life in an era of 100-year lifespans, stories about the development of Beauty Charge -Femcare-, and feedback from users. After the extensive WORKSHOP, she answered questions from those interested in Beauty Charge -Femcare-. Some even made purchases on the spot, showing how many people prioritize being healthy from the inside out.
As the WORKSHOP's theme "COME BACK TO YOURSELF" suggested, it was a three-hour event filled with Tomo and the OHANA family's love, where various activities helped participants re-examine their authentic selves.
